A sports enthusiast, Slater loves spending his weekends with friends watching various games. He is dedicated to providing the highest level of care, creating the ideal environment for his patients to succeed.
Dr. Slater Nolan grew up in upstate New York, just outside of Albany, before moving to Charlotte, NC, to pursue his education and continue his collegiate football career. Slater began his academic journey at Hudson Valley Community College, where he played junior college football and earned an Associate’s degree in Business Administration. He then moved south to attend Wingate University, where he earned both a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and a Doctorate of Physical Therapy. Throughout his education, Slater had the remarkable opportunity to treat a diverse range of patient populations, from weekend warriors to professional athletes in the NFL, NBA, MLB, and NHL. He also worked with collegiate athletes preparing for their NFL combine training. These experiences sparked his strong interest in outpatient orthopedics, with a particular focus on sports rehab and movement.
