You hired a personal trainer to lose weight, get in shape, and get toned.
Although Showing Up For Your Workout Sessions Is A Great Place To Start, There Are A Few Extra Thing
1. Ask for homework — In high school, your attention to what you were learning likely stopped as soon as the bell rang, and you probably view your personal training sessions the same way. However, asking your personal trainer for exercises and stretches you can do outside of the gym is one of the best way to capitalize on your progress and take things a step further.
2. Ask questions — It’s unlikely that you’ll get everything perfect on the first try, which is why asking questions is so important. If you’re not sure of how to do something or you want to know why you should do something a certain way, don’t hesitate to ask your personal trainer!
3. Clean up your eating — You’re going to have a hard time getting results if your nutrition isn’t on track. For this reason, try to balance out your portions, drink more water, and add a colorful array of fruits and vegetables to your diet.
4. Be open to new ideas –– Your personal trainer wants to help you reach your goals, and they might suggest exercises you’ve never done before to help you get there. Be open to their suggestions and let them know what you like and don’t like.
