Endurance Specialist In Motion Fitness, Inc welcome’s Glen Thompson to their team of skilled health and fitness professionals. Glen’s primary concentration is endurance training for 

all levels. Endurance training is a method of exercise used to improve aerobic conditioning for all skill levels, from the recreationist to the fitness enthusiast or the beginner athlete to your Olympic competitor. Glen has had the privilege to gain valuable experience working alongside many professional athletes including Dan Jansen (Gold Medal Olympic Speed Skater) and Zola Budd Pierterse (Olympic track and field competitor, world cross-country champion and former World Record Holder for 500m). Both have commended him on his technique and level of skill saying “Glen makes running fast look easy”, and “Glen has a beautiful stride”.His method of training has allowed him to become top in his field of exercise, including the below accomplishments.

  • 2010, 2011, 2012 USA Master Track and Field All American 1500m, 1 Mile, 3000m

  • 2010, 2011, 2012 USAT All– American Duathlon

  • 2010, 2011, 2012 Age Group Team USA member competing at the Duathlon World Championships

  • 2010 USAT Duathlon Long Distance Age Group National Champion

  • 2012 USAT Duathlon Long Distance National Championships – 3rd Overall

 

Glen’s combination of experience as a current professional athlete, passion for endurance sports, and drive to help others, have lead him to be the area’s top endurance coach. He provides the following services:

  • Running gait analysis

  • Personalized running mechanics coaching (Chi, mid-foot, pose, or natural running)

  • Injury prevention / management techniques

  • Live coach to client instruction (on-line available for some services)

  • Endurance training and personalized coaching for Running, Cycling, Duathlon, or Triathlon (form and efficiency instruction, race day instruction, optimizing nutrition for performance, interactive training schedules, plyometric workouts to improve power and speed)
