MADISON BURZLAFF

Physical Therapist

with a Parkinson’s Boxing Program. Through her past work and clinical education experiences Madison gained valuable practice in the treatment of a variety of direct access and orthopedic patients as she developed customized treatment plans for sport and non-sport related pathologies to address impairments, improve functional mobility, and enhance overall performance. She employs a diverse range of skilled interventions, use of therapeutic modalities, and objective outcome measures to ensure high quality of care for her patients. Madison believes there is an athlete in all of us, with the ability to transform health through exercise, hands-on treatment, and prevention and maintenance strategies. She is passionate about motivating and assisting others and is excited to meet her next patients at Healthy Body PT! In her free time, Madison enjoys traveling with her husband, Daniel, and their dogs Copper and Carter, as well as playing soccer, camping, hiking, and running. Madison also enjoys cheering on her favorite football teams, the Carolina Panthers and Appalachian State Mountaineers and completing Spartan and other various mud races with her friends and family!

Dr. Madison is from Mount Pleasant, NC and graduated with honors from Appalachian State University with a Pre-Professional concentration major in Exercise Science and minors in Psychology and Chemistry. While there she played for the Appalachian State Women’s Club Soccer team, serving on the leadership team her last year. She went on to obtain her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from East Tennessee State University where she graduated in December of 2020. Madison is also certified in Level 1 and 2 in Dry Needling and maintains a Clinical Exercise Physiologist license through the American College of Sports Medicine. Prior to becoming a physical therapist, she served as a lead fitness trainer in Boone, NC and an independent Personal Trainer where she worked with an array of individuals as she led 1-on-1 and group fitness classes, taught Arthritis Aquatic classes, lead Youth Strength and Development programs, created HIIT training regimes, and assisted
